HI, I’M ROSIE

a filmmaker-photographer known for her portraits of women and feminist, autoethnographic approach to documentary image making.

Self-taught in photography, Rosie studied filmmaking on the visual anthropology MA at the University of Manchester. Her work interrogates women’s everyday lives and subjective worlds and has had a particular focus on motherhood and aging.

Rosie’s work is observational in approach but also combines collaborative and sometimes experimental, rhythmic notes.

Her work has won multiple festival awards and screened at: SXSW, Riverrun Film Festival, Big Sky Film Festival, Edinburgh International Film Festival, Nashville Film Festival, Ashland Film Festival, Aesthetica Short Film Festival, Short Shorts Asia, Royal Anthropological Institute Film Festival and Glasgow Short Film Festival among many others.
